(EBOOK/PDF) [Ciaphas Cain Defender of the Imperium] ´ Sandy Mitchell

I ve almost iven up on the 40K universe with its immensely purple prose and steroid driven fatalism More than a couple of novels I ve tried have left me

wanting to mount
to mount own Waaaaaagh in frustration With The Thickly Lathered On Scifi Angst the thickly lathered on scifi angst the Ciapahas Cain books reeled me back in uite happily too The Cain books are smartly written with our none too reliable narrator Ciaphas Cain appearing to be a cross between Harry Flashman and Blackadder but smack dab in the middle of the sci fi universe of Warhammer 40K A self described coward Cain s opportunism fighting skill and sheer blind luck make him a massively acclaimed Hero of the Imperium something he d rather avoid since this status inevitably brings him into and danger The writing is witty fast light and sometimes peppered with silliness clothed in respectable word play And since this is still happening in the 40K universe In the The Book of Leviathan grim future of the 40th millennium there is only war therimness is still palpably felt Only this time Cain proves that there can be light at the end of the tunnel Highly recommended Following in the footsteps of Hero of the Imperium this collection has all the adventure one could want The supporting characters Cols Kasteen and Broklaw are Nine Ghosts given a real opportunity to shine when Comissar Cain is embroiled in an Inuisitorial The legendary Commissar Ciaphas Cain lauded as one of thereat heroes of the Imperium finds himself thrust onto the battlefield again Cain wants nothing than to keep out of trouble and et to the other side of his commission in one Ciaphas Cain Defender of the ImperiumStic collections of stories starring our favourite Commisar It was a fun read Cain is one of my fave characters ever and let s not forget Jurgen It a fun read Cain is one of my fave characters ever and let s not forget Jurgen It also reat to شرح جامع مثنوى معنوى get anotherlimpse of the necrons who are my fave species in the WH 40K universe Ciaphas Cain is definitely "One Of My Favorite Characters I Liked This Omnibus Less "of my favorite characters I liked this omnibus less the first one mostly because the middle novel dragged a bit I prefer Cain out on his own forced to be the hero everyone thinks he is rather than when Amberly is pulling the strings The first book in the trio WAS PROBABLY ONE OF MY FAVORITES probably one of my favorites Cain cobbles together an army to fight orks while trying to flee to safety The short stories were both fun and the last novel or less tied it all neatly togetherOverall if you are a Cain fan definitely pick the second omnibus up It will not disappoint Orks Tyrnids and Necrons Oh my This omnibus felt a bit less interesting than the previous one however while it was not bad it lacked a lot of the style that first made me love Ciaphas Cain Though this omnibus has a thread that runs through it and ties the 3 books together in a way the previous did not Which makes it easier to invest in the story Can recommend it though if you enjoyed the previous It is still The New Song: For the Sunday School, Societies of Christian Endeavor, and Other Religious Exercises (Classic Reprint) good Warhammer 40K Throughly enjoyable Even better than the last compendium Love Lyrows and his life is in ever reater jeopardy Defender of the Imperium contains the novels Death or Glory Duty Calls and Cain’s Last Stand plus the short story Traitor’s Gambit and a new introduction from author Sandy Mitchell. .
